Pastor Barry Hylton answered the call to ministry in July 2022, stepping boldly into the work

God placed before him. On June 1, 2024, he was called to serve as Senior Pastor of Antioch

Christian Church, where he preached his first sermon on July 7, 2024. Since that day, he has

led with humility, conviction, and a deep reliance on the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Hylton’s faith is rooted firmly in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “I believe in the Father, the

Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus died for all mankind, and on the third day after His death, He rose

from the dead,” he affirms. His favorite scripture, Romans 5:9, reminds believers that, “Much

more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.”

He also stands unwaveringly on Romans 10:9, which declares the promise of salvation to all

who confess and believe.

Pastor Hylton often likens himself to the preachers of old—those who followed the Holy Spirit

as their greatest Teacher. He encourages believers to listen closely to the Spirit, who reveals what

no man can teach. It was the Holy Spirit who led him to Sister Belvin Wright, a saint of God

who taught him about spiritual warfare and intercession. Though she has gone on to be with the

Lord, Pastor Hylton remains forever grateful for the wisdom she poured into him through the

Spirit.

He also honors the many spiritual leaders who helped shape his walk with Christ, including

Pastor Lewis Walton, Pastor Robin Hopkins, Pastor Curthe Johnson, and Pastor Kaven

Smith. Their guidance and example strengthened his foundation and prepared him for pastoral

leadership.

Pastor Hylton has been blessed in marriage to his beloved wife, Marilyn Morris, for 41 years.

He thanks God continually for the gift she is in his life. Together, they share three children, and

they are proud grandparents of three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Anointed by God and committed to the work of the Kingdom, Pastor Barry Hylton carries a

passionate burden for souls. His mission is clear and unwavering: to ensure that no soul is lost

before Jesus returns.
